Without a doubt the most disturbing cartoon that I have seen about racoon balls

I don’t have a long list of cartoons that feature the reproductive organs of small woodland creatures but if I did this would be the most disturbing. Thank you Japan for giving me nightmares well into my 40’s.

    This movie was actually produced by Disney, partnered with a japanese company way back in the day. It was released in the US as well, it just never became popular…for obvious reasons. Disney made some pretty fucked up shit back in the day.

    It’s Pom Poko, a Studio Ghibli film (same makers of Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, etc.). The animal is tanuki, known in Japanese folklore as a prankster/trickster. Think Pan or Coyote for similar characters. Part of the character was his large testicles that had magical powers. Check out Tom Robbins’ “Villa Incognito” to learn more about the character. And please, try do do a little research first before you come off as yet another uptight puritan.
